In a large wok or frying pan, fry the hotdogs. Set aside.
In the same wok or frying pan, saute the onions followed by the garlic and green peas. Set aside.
In the same wok or frying pan, pour in the beaten eggs and scramble. Mix the eggs while frying until they turn into small pieces. Set aside.
In the same wok or frying pan, saute the garlic. Add the rice. Mix.
Combine the soy sauce and sugar in a small bowl. Add to the rice and mix thoroughly.
Add in the fried hotdogs and sauted vegetables to the rice. Cook a little further making sure that you mix it well.
Season with salt and pepper.
Add in the scrambled eggs and mix.
Top with green onions. Serve with fried pork siomai (dimsum) as in the picture (optional).
