HP f800g

The best looking camera, looks like a point and shoot.  Picture quality is not the same as the Transcend dash cams.  You do not get the cinematic quality and color but you do not lose clarity which is the most important with dash cams.  It comes with a good field of view, 140°.  Better than the 130° but not as good as the 160° of the Transcend DrivePro 200, so it is somewhere in between.  You’ve got your basic features like the G4 sensor which triggers emergency recording when suddenly swerving or in case the car is hit.  It will write protect it just for you.  It also has GPS which records your Compass Direction, your location and your speed.  It also has a lane departure warning system as well.   Night time recording is a little bit brighter than the others but you kind of lose the clarity a little bit, not as sharp as the other dash cams but still more than acceptable.  You may have a little bit of trouble reading number plates, you might need to screen grab that and sort of bring it out a little bit or define it in Photoshop or any other editing software.  But at least you are being able to see the whole scene, so in cases of accidents and stuff like that, you can really see what went on and it is up to you to get the little details later.

GPS Capability

The built-in GPS capability records the locations you have been as well as tracking your speed, compass heading and speed camera locations as you mark them.

Built-in, 3-Axis G-Force and motion sensor

No one expects to get into a driving accident, but when it happens, the built-in G-force sensor can detect these events and trigger Emergency Video Recording mode. These emergency recordings are date and time-stamped as well as protected from loop recording overwrites.

Loop Recording

The f800g records video clips of 3 or 5 minute lengths (customer selectable) on to the installed microSDHC memory card. The standard loop recording technology prevents storage overload by erasing the oldest previously recorded file and replacing it with the new one.

The small size f800g is equipped with a 140 degree ultra- wide angle lens to capture all the critical elements with little edge to edge distortion. Easy to Install and Use

Use the enclosed bracket to install to many windshields in seconds. The car power adapter has a generous 3.5 meter (11.4 feet) cord that accommodates easy routing in almost any vehicle. Once installed, the f800g automatically begins recording when the vehicle starts and powers down when the vehicle is turned off. The camcorder also offers many easy to use options such as motion detection.

Lane Departure Warning System (LWDS)

With the GPS and LWDS feature enabled and the vehicle moving faster than 50 km/h (~31mph), the f800g uses lane markings on the road to warn you when your vehicle drifts from the current lane. The warning is an audible and visual icon displayed on the camcorder screen. This feature should be treated as a guide only, not a reliable safety mechanism.

 

The HP f800g Car Camera records 1080P Full HD video at 30fps. It has a 140 degree Wide Angle lens, 2.7-inch touch screen panel and built-in GPS tracking. Other features include 9 built-in alarm safety alerts and support for up to 32GB micro SD card (not included). Supplied with windscreen mounting bracket and car charger adapter.
